** Fixed ** I think the Client Roles and Permissions are great addition, but is there a way to let client manage their online store (store products, store orders, ect.) without EditorX offering them to create a new website and become a web designer them selves?
I would love to see a Client Dashboard with their roles & permissions for clients to manage their website (store products, store orders, ect.) This would be great for agencies like mine.
I think the Wix Mobile App allows just that; if I recall well, it was developed just for that, besides managing remotely some other contents like bookings, blog posts and Wix Chat.
Hello Ricardo, Yes true, the Wix App is a great tool for this; However, I think some clients would rather run their business on their desktop or laptop.
Hi Cole,
I am Na’ama from Editor X Product team.
Once ‘Stores’ is added to the site, you can then define a custom role for site contributors or team members only with managing a store permissions which is done from the back office (business manager).
I have created custom roles for my Client; Store Manager, however EditorX asked my client to create a website from a website templet, please look below at attachment.
After we get our Client past this process and to their dashboard, Editor X offers my client to (create a new websites, purchase premium plans, become a partner, ect.) see attachment below.
Is there a way I can then define a custom role for site contributors or team members, with managing a store permissions for my clients, where my clients can only see their website Dash Board.
I would like my clients to (only be able to see their website dashboard). See attachment below for example.
I would like to clarify something. When you invite your client to work on the website that you’ve built for him (in this case with the Store permissions) - he accesses this website though his own Wix account.
In his Wix account, he can create new websites, purchase premium plans for them, etc., regardless of the website that you’ve built for him.
Just to clarify - the snapshots that you’ve added from your client were taken from his account in general, not from the specific website that you created for him, right?
It looks that some of the snapshots are indeed for the specific website, and on these website I can see that he has only the Store-related functionality.
In the other snapshots, it seems that the client is trying to create a new website.
You can limit the client to only Store-related functionality in the specific website that you create for him. But you can’t limit him from creating other websites in his account.
When I invited my client to be a product manager, he created his account, and had to create a website before he could access or manage his website my agency created for him.
Thank you for the information about my clients dashboard, this is the information I was looking for, thank you for your time and quick response.
