Hi,
I need to add a field to the signup page for a name. Currently there is only an email and a password field for the user that is signing up however I need to know the name of the person since not everyone has their name in their email. I have the member sign up settings set to people I approve and I need to know who they are before I approve them.
I have already referred to this article and it seems that you can have members update their name information after they have already become members of the site but I would like to know who they are before they are approved to be members.

This is currently not possible, but it is on many people’s wish list, together with modifying the logon screen.
It has sunken a bit down on the Feature Request List. Vote there or add a new one.

That’s exactly my problem as well. I want to know the name of the person before I press approve but Wix default account sign up only allows user email address. This is silly as I cannot tell who requested to sign up. Please wix, can you sort this out. I am happy to request this feature if someone could please share the link to the request page. Thank you.

Just make up your own custom signup and login lightboxes, then you can add whatever you want to be collected on your signup page as well as the email and password.
If you do go down that route then you must set your signup settings to suit it too.

Otherwise just use the custom signup form that Wix has provided through Wix Forms for you to customise.
