Data load failed, unable to update database

Hi there,
I’m having a problem with my database. I can’t update it from my sandbox and when I try and access the the live database I get “An error occurred. Check your internet connection and try again” pop-up message. My database collection type is form submission. I have linked the database and made it write only but the user inputs into the form don’t get recorded in the database. It was working properly before until August 1.

I’ve tried to register many times and my information has been submitted every time, but when I check the database, there is no my information shown. It shows previously recorded info. I would like to kindly ask you to help me check it, please. It’s urgent! Thank you.

My user name is atransociety

When you work in the Wix Editor and use the preview mode, you are working in the sandbox version of your dataset.

When you use the fully published website, like what your users will be using, then you are using the live version of the dataset.

All the user inputs submitted into the dataset will be shown in the live version of your dataset, whereas in your picture you are looking at the sandbox version.

If you had anything in your sandbox version that you would like to be included in your live version, then you will need to sync sandbox to live.

Or sync from live to sandbox if you want to have your live dataset working in the sandbox version.

Hi @ givemeawhisky

Thank you for your detailed response. That’s very kind of you. I appreciate it. After successfully submitting the form, I accessed the live database and I got “Data Load Failed”. I have kept getting it.

How do I access and review my data now? It worked fine before. What should I do?

Has there been a resolve to this issue? I’m using it for registering for my conference right now. Would anyone be so kind as to help me please?

@deleteduser Thank you very much.

Have you published your website since you have added that dataset as the error on the screen behind the window is telling you to publish your site.

This might be an glitch due to your error, however that should clear itself if you log out of Wix and log yourself back in after clearing your cache and cookies from your browser.

If you are still getting that error then it is down to your internet connection being either poor or affected somehow and you would be better suited going through another internet network like Heath as suggested to see if it can run on a more stable network connection.

It could even be something simple like a plugin or extension to your internet browser that is affecting it and causing it to be glitchy, it is widely known that some third party adware or popup blockers for example will actually block and stop some elements from working properly or even appearing on your screen at all.

Also, take a note of what Steve has said in another forum post similar to this as well.
“Have you tried with a different browser or in incognito mode per Tomer’s previous suggestion. Sometimes if you have many browser tabs open Chrome or some of its extensions can impact with connectivity. Also check the resources on your computer, sometimes chrome loads multiple processes each of which can be over 500MB is size. If your computer is running out of memory that would result in strange issues.”

Like Steve states above, if you browser is running with low memory issues, then this can start to affect your connectivity and can lead to your open Wix Editor and Wix Dashboard to close on you unexpectedly without any warning.

If it is still happening even when you are using another network or over wifi etc, then you will need to contact Wix Support about it so that they can look into it and see if it is an error on Wix side.
