Hi!
I cannot find the answer to this issue.
On my dataset I have used the field type Image Gallery. This allows me to upload various images and give each image a title and a description but not a URL.
When I create dynamic pages I connect this “Image Gallery” field to a “Pro-Gallery” and I want that each image is set to “open URL when clicking”. At that point it looks like it allowing me to go into the Image Gallery and add a URL for each image but that is never saved and never seems to work.
Why do Image Galleries in the database not allow to include a URL if this is one of the available options when connecting to a pro-gallery?
I need help.
When you say image gallery filed type, do you actually mean the media gallery field as shown here.

Plus, see these previous forum posts about it too.

As for opening Wix Pro Gallery images with a URL, then note that the Wix Pro Gallery is a Wix app and you can do that through it’s own settings as shown in the Wix Support pages for it.

Finally, if you are wanting to use a dataset with a Wix Gallery, then you are better off not using the Wix Pro Gallery and just using a normal Wix Gallery. As I stated already the Wix Pro Gallery is a Wix app and has it’s own settings, so it might not always work with your own code and could simply ignore it or overwrite it with it’s own settings.
See this example here for contacting a dataset to a gallery.

Hi!
I am going to try to explain this with images.
- On a new dataset that I have created, I have used the field type “Image Gallery”. This allows me to upload various images and give each image a title and a description but not a URL.
Image example: This dataset has this “Image Gallery” called “PUBLICATIONS”
- As you can see I can upload multiple images, add titles and names, but there is no URL for each image.
- When I create dynamic pages I connect this “Image Gallery” field to a “Pro-Gallery” and I want that each image is set to “open URL when clicking”. At that point it looks like it is allowing me to go into the Image Gallery and add a URL for each image but that is never saved and never seems to work.
These images show me connecting the gallery to the dataset and setting the click image to open URL:
- Now when I Preview the dynamic page, it displays the images, their titles, their descriptions. But obviously there is no URL they can connect to.
- CONCLUSION: I don’t need to use a pro-gallery I could use a regular gallery. That is not the issue. The issue is that I want that each image connects to a URL but the way the “Image Gallery” field is set up they are not allowing me to set URLs for each image.
Thank you!!!
I have the same issue as well. It will be great if pro-gallery in database provide links option otherwise I need to add separate columns for each image and url which is time consuming and not a clean solution.
Anyone ever replied to this latter explanation?
Is there a solution to this?
I have the same problem and have been contacting wix assistance through email and they directed me here. I don’t see how this can help.
Several links to reply to this message and none is the appropriate answer. Why can’t they ever give a straight forward clear answer??!?

In your answer there are several links and none is the appropriate answer. Overloading of info does not really help, especially when all the links are not directly related to the specific question. Could you kindly clarify?
The further explanation that the user provided here below is exactly my same exact problem.
Thanks!
