This one is scary! and no real answer yet. I signed up for Wix, spend 3 years learning and filling it with data, all cause of the unlimited so i knew i wouldn’t have problems. I paid 3 years in advance every time, tried the branded app and all. now these changes make me wanna leave out of fear that my money and sites will be worth nothing before i even release them? anyone find anything out about all this? As i have the unlimited all premium plan that doesn’t exist now?

I think they are listening and they will change these data platform and developer tools limits and make them even better than before. Because new limits are not better than before in fact very bad…

The plans are horrific. You can not pretend to provide a professional tool with such limitations.

oh no!!! our EditorX sites will automatically transition to Wix Studio whether we want to use Wix Studio or not???! It feels like Wix is literally stealing the functionality we CHOSE when deciding to build with EditorX. My site is mostly custom-built with thousands of lines of code and literally depends on greater CMS item/row entries, and I actually need GREATER RPM (requests per minute) than what the current quotas allow because of the custom code, not significantly less like we’re going to get with Wix Studio!

EditorX was supposed to be THE platform where web developers could start from a blank page and create anything they can imagine. Although the editor (mostly) allows us to build what we can imagine, and velo allows us to code it as we need, what’s the point if the Wix CMS and wixData quotas limit what we can do with them?!?!? It’s like building a Ferrari, but then being told we can only use 1 gallon of gas a day. What the F??!?!??!!?

Hey @Aaron_Whittington , I 100% agree with everything you’ve said, and I recently had a similar issue regarding site storage. After contacting Support multiple times, even the Wix Care Team didn’t realize that their EditorX storage limits per plan had changed. Since even the MOST EXPENSIVE EditorX business plan had less storage than the cheapest Wix business plan, they gave me a workaround solution: In the end, I had to install the “Wix Photo Album” app - which I’m not even using on my site whatsoever - just to be able to purchase storage 1TB at a time for $9.99/month.

Obviously, this isn’t scalable, but it’s what I had to do to at least get my site launched and out the door!! I hope this helps as an interim solution for your immediate storage needs.

There is no update about plans, but I hope they will do something…

After our many messages, I was contacted privately by Wix, who asked me to explain my concerns about the new limitations. I’m waiting for them to get back to me and I’ll publish a new post to update everyone on what I’ve said !

Until that’s done, keep discussing it on the forum, the more developers show their dissatisfaction and fears, the more attention the Wix teams will pay to us !

To all Wix partners Make sure to report this unconformity with your Official Wix success manager, this will help to boost a solution.

Looks like it time to request my $10000 i paid 3 years in advance for unlimited and spend 3 years prior paying while building! wow. took me 3 years to put all the data in. now i’m about to launch and this, i paid for the branded app twice. and got nothing worth anything to my site. now i pay another 5 grand to build an awesome app. and they make these changes and literally in three months of complaints and still they are silent. and they more than doubled their prices too! for the future. so sad!

what even more concerning…they just added more to the free forms quotas. yet they ignor their partners and paid customers. soon they will only have free users. plus they changed forums. so people cant even see this has been a complaint since May when they announced it!

Hello,

We’ve had some feedback from WIX, they’ve normally discussed it internally, they should get back to us. We had the opportunity to speak with them privately and submit our concerns and potential solutions we could bring, I honestly hope they hear us and pay attention to the developer and the company working on WIX.

They’ve already modified certain quotas for other modules, but we’ve proposed more advanced solutions… I’ll let you take a look at the other posts we’ve made on the forum!

I think they won’t change anything.

I think we have to keep on fighting, I’ll do another post sometime next week to get the ball rolling again.

In the meantime, they’ve evolved another premium plan and I can only hope they’ll evolve the WIX STUDIO plans.

I already switched some of my large projects to other platforms.

I just want to chip back into this conversation.

Firstly, I want to say your voices are heard. As @Lucas_dev mentioned, we took some conversations 1:1 to better understand the business aspects of concerns and have also taken conversations internally with the teams (as mentioned here - Wix Forms quota change, and data & Velo in the Wix Studio Premium plans)

I appreciate the concerns, but want to let you know that we haven’t forgotten.

In regards to moving to a new forum and migrating the previous Partners, Editor X and Velo forums into 1 - all topics, conversations and accounts were migrated from the old forums, so you’re free to read and explore all those topics whenever you feel like.

Everything from May is also included in the migration.

Although I don’t have much more to share at the moment, I want to let you know you’re not forgotten and we do listen and care.

@Aaron_Whittington You do realize that any wix employee can open your editor and get your keys from the secrets manager with 1 line of code, right? It’s a managed platform so they can see everything your code can.
