My Editor keeps shrinking the canvas to a tiny size. It also happens with grids. And i can’t keep working.

What i have tried:

  • switching browser / devices
  • clearing cache
  • disabling extensions

Happens with me too while using the grid’s calculation feature. I’ve reported the bug to the Editor X team.

Having a terrible problem with this shrinking EditorX pages too! Wondering if anyone has a solution or workaround: all my pages have sections sized with VH values that add up to 100 VH. Max, min, and current values for each section are all set to be the same. Problem is that with each mouse click in the Editor, the canvas shrinks by an increment until it is unusably small. Very bizarre!! The published website works correctly, but editing the ever-shrinking pages is essentially impossible.

Anyone else have this problem and know what to do??

it’s happened to me as well. Can’t seem to pinpoint why or a pattern. It just randomly happens.

Been happening for months too…usually if I just reload the editor it will resolve though.

Hey @thuptonphotos , sorry for the inconvenience, we‘re investigating this issue.
The issue occurs, sometimes, when the section is set to VH and there are no elements inside.
Meanwhile, to not harm your workflow, you can set a Min-Height to the section while working on it and remove it right after you’re done.
Once the section has an absolute height to rely on it stops shrinking.

We’ll update once this issue is fixed

Hi Jonathan, thanks for the quick response. As followup, I would just point out that:

  • all sections on my pages have content
  • all sections have Min/Max/Current values set to the same number
  • all section VH values on a page add up to 100 so the page correctly fills the viewport

I still get the shrinking in the editor only. The published website works as expected.

@jonathant No sooner did I write the above reply than I went to Wix to work on my website and found that the problem seems to have disappeared! I hope this means you have solved the problem! Certainly it is working better for me now than it has for months. Thanks!
