Editor X server location and privacy policy implications

Hello all,

Regarding Wix’s hosting, I have read the following:

“Wix hosts your website on a global content delivery network (CDN), a collection of connected secure servers located around the world. Your visitors are automatically directed to their closest server, so your site loads faster for everyone, everywhere.” [(https://www.wix.com/free/web-hosting]((https://www.wix.com/free/web-hosting) )

I assume this also applies to Editor X and am now wondering what this means for my website’s privacy policy. For example, how can I specify in my policy the location where the collected data is stored? And how do I know what to base my policy on (i.e. GDPR, North American or Asian regulations)?

I would be very grateful for any suggestions or assistance.

Hi @nicolasgilgen did you receive any valid information on this? It would be great to know if EditorX is usable for european clients or if personal data gets transfered outside the EU - which would make it tough to sell to european clients. Any sharble info? Would be very interested to know more about this… thanks

Wix seems to use a multitude of CDNs, you can check using https://www.cdnplanet.com/ - From my findings, it uses Google, Fastly & Amazon CDNs. You can see where their servers are located here:

Amazon
