Editor x totally unusable

This section has created about 14 feet of unnecessary space. If I try to drag the section handle and drag it smaller it just flicks back to being huge again. Have also tried editing grid on canvas but that doesn’t work either. It’s a simple 2 x 1 grid with 1 picture on the right, and 1 heading, 1 paragraph and 1 button on the left side.

Editor X has become totally unusable for me lately.

UPDATED: In the end I just created a new section, dragged it all across and then deleted the old section, but it shouldn’t do stuff like this. I keep hoping that wix studio will be better but I’m not that hopeful tbh.

I had the exact same experience a few days ago using the regular editor.

The Wix Studio / Editor X rollout has been a disaster:

  • World wide outages
  • Dashboard outages
  • Incredibly slow editor

Like you I eventually managed to fix the issue but also contacted support.

I’ve been trying Wix Studio for days, and it’s much easier to create in this new editor.

I’m even recreating a site that I had made in Editor X, and in Wix Studio, I did it much more easily.

One tip in Editor X is to work with sections with rows and columns to organize the assets quickly.

And in some cases, you might need to use a container to rearrange things within these even more easily.

Yes we are missing basic functionalities in every Wix Editor.
Every Wix Editor has own limits. That is really frustrating.

Are the editor problems browser based ?
Does the editor behave the same in all browsers?

So we have to waste time recreating a website in wix studio?! Why do they not have an upgrade or convert option? That would seem logical!

I can understand why they can’t do that, it’s a totally different layout system. I just wish they’d do something about the bugs and make it more intuitive.

and… Wix studio wasn’t better… it’s basically just a rebranding of Editor X.

My wish would be…

PUT THEM ALL TOGETHER (Wix-Editor, Editor-X and Wix-Studio) AND GENERATE JUST ONE PLATFORM FOR ALL (and maybe without to much bugs).

…but it is only a wish…
