I’ve put one or two comments about it in different posts before.
But, at the moment, our partner dashboard and agency websites feel completely separate. It would be good to see them a little more integrated together than they are at the moment. I’m not sure how this would look, but I do have a few ideas, such as payments being one system (including invoicing etc). I know this wouldn’t suit everyone so possibly allowing people to toggle it being integrated or not.
Just a thought.

I don’t even use Wix for my agency site but this is definitely needed for those that do.
If you don’t mind me asking, do you design all your client sites on Wix? If so, why don’t you use Wix for your agency site? What do you use for your agency site?
@noahlovell Not at all! I do not use Wix for all my clients. It’s a mix between Wix and WordPress and it depends on things like budget, features needed now, and planned growth.
The best thing about Wix in my opinion is the marketing/automation integration and built-in features like CDN, security, etc. Those tools on WordPress will cost time and money depending on what you get. WordPress on the other hand is generally more responsive, has a much larger and better plugin library and things that cant be done can usually be coded.
When I first get with a client I determine their needs and how custom they may need their site. For example, Wix stores may not allow for raffle entries, better design or more advanced product options that Velo doesn’t allow. Another big one is more responsive design like Editor X that won’t cost $800+ a year to host. Again depending on their needs and budget will choose their path forward.
Personally, I like WordPress for my clients better because of branding. I can easily customize the WP Admin look and feel to my client’s company. I can hide menu options that they may not need, rename them to more user-friendly terms and add support/video links on the dashboard or in the menu. I also use ManageWP to automatically send reports for things like backups, updates, site speed, security, etc. I can do the reports with Wix but to make it look nicer than their current reports, It’s a manual process. I chose WordPress for my site mainly for a more responsive feel and slightly better design with repeating sections and columns than what you can currently achieve with Wix. Being boxed in the smaller grid in classic sites makes Wix sites seem smaller.
Don’t get me wrong though, I think Wix is an incredibly strong competitor to WordPress. Both have their pros and cons. I think Wix is behind on some basic stuff but aside from that, Wix will be competing more with WordPress soon when it comes to larger companies as it continues to distance itself from a DIY solution.
@cstevens That’s great to hear about how you work with different solutions.
I’m aware that a number of different agencies use multiple platforms depending on their clients needs, and it’s great to hear how you do it.
Having only just started, I’ve set my sites on learning WIX as well as I can rather than spreading myself to thinly across the ground.
Having used WIX for a year and a bit now, it’s interesting to see how quickly it has come along in that short time already.
Do you use Wordpress directly, or anything like Elementor?
Sorry for the questions, my greatest tool at the moment, is other people who have more experience and learning from them
@noahlovell No it’s all good, we are here to help each other!
To be honest, I hate Elementor. While the Jet plugins you can get for it are amazing, I just couldn’t use it. I opted for Divi instead. Its much more modern, easier to use and has a ton of features out of box and with plugins.
As you continue to grow your business, I definitely recommend buying a hosting plan from site ground or another good hosting provider and loading up a few page builders, frameworks or whatever you want to use and diversify your portfolio. While Wix and WordPress are both established platforms, putting all my eggs in one basket didn’t seem like the best idea for my company. We expanded into multiple services across several platforms. Don’t be afraid to partner with someone either. You may not be able to do everything but you can definitely outsource or bring in someone you trust for that project.
