Hi all, I’ve been looking for solutions all over the net but really can’t find a solution. I’ve been using wix for some time but new to coding.
Basically, I was wondering if this is possible?
I would like a page that will display data from a google sheet on a webpage (not in a table) and then be able to change that data on the webpage and send that data back to the google sheet. Once the data is manipulated and changed on both the web page and the google sheet, I would like to store that data on an existing database.
EG Name, contact number and email on google sheet but appearing as standard data on web page, next page, change the the contact number from 12345 to 54321, this will update the google sheet and then links to dataset and update the contact number on the dataset.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Gareth

Hello Gareth Steedman,
i just typed in “google sheet” into the search and look, what i got…

Hi,
Thanks for that. Ive been through this one and although it technically works its only to send data to the sheet and doesnt allow publishing to an existing dataset.
Basically, I have an extensive excel formula stored on drive. As new data is entered onto the webpage, its needs to be sent to the google sheet, run through the formulas and then the results after the formula is run, need to get displayed on the webpage and then published to the dataset.
@gpsteedman I’m also looking for this solution. So hard to find…
I had the same problem and solved it using Integromat’s Google Sheet app thru a webhook. Why a prefer Integromat over Wix Google Sheets component or Zapier Google sheets Zap: because Integromat is the only one which let’s you edit an existing row (update) without an absolute address (like row number, which is vulnerable, because user could have deleted 1 row above by hand and 'poof", you are updating the wrong row). It uses a search function instead to actively determine the row to update (but you will have to apply a Filter).
As Giri Zano said below, you can use integromat to solve integration both ways like this although it is ideal to have one application (wix db / gsheet) as the main database.
Seems several of the example templates no longer work.
As one example:
You have to look through 3 pages of comments to find out it is broken AND comments are now locked.
Seems like some one should mention this in the beginning post so people do not spend hours trying to follow an example that is broken.
Thanks. That certainly helps.
However, when changes are made to Google Sheet outside of app, it appears the data is not current. Is there some cache or something I am missing?
Buen dia!!! alguien me puede ayudar … yo busco todo lo contrario… que editando el google sheet me actualice mi pagina web
