Hi, i have added google code in the html element in my website to have the website in multilingual because the process with WIX multilingual was a bit complicated for me who, is just an amateur without much experience, i follow the step correctly, the google widget appear normally but unfortunately, it doesn’t translate in the live site, the translator keep turning and show 0%, i don’t know if it may be an incompatibility with WIX? please i have visitors from others countries and i will like them to navigate the website in their native language and i can’t start the process of duplicating pages and more…i don’t understand how to do that
Thanks in Advance
Hey
Have you read this?
https://support.wix.com/en/article/adding-meta-tags-for-google-translate
I dont think it is possible to use the Google Translate Widget on a Wix site regarding the issues that they server script and not pure HTML.
Thank you Andreas that explain why i have been trying for so long without any result
hi, again i have added the meta tags for google translate as indicated by wix but it is still not working, please any idea of another way i can have my website in multilanguages without using the process of duplicating and translating everything?by wix?
I don’t understand why wix does not allow his customers to use google translate on website, it is crazy to translate everything and for what it is worst if you have a website with many sub-pages how to paste all of them using buttons? and where? please i need your help, i am quite satisfy with wix, but this feature make me go crazy and many of my website viewers speak french
I believe it has to do with history, Wix content delivers like some scripting thing and not as pure html, css content. It has been that way since the launch of HTML5 Editor. First I believed that Wix was afraid people would use their editor to create sites and then rip them and put them in their cheap webhotel but I don’t think this is the reason anymore.
Hopefully some Wix guru can jump in and answer.
Thank you Andreas, i have checked some older messages with the same problem and i noticed that they have decided to use their websites without any translation, so i think i am going to do the same, hopefully Wix will find an issue for that or create a translation feature who will be less complicated than the multilingual website they offer
WIX SHOULD FIX THIS!!! I just designed a site for a client and found out too late that the google translate button will not work on WIX - my client is required by law to have a translate button for all languages and now I will be forced to rebuild the entire site on another platform that supports the google translate button. I am beyond dissapointed.
Sorry i’m out of topic but i want to share a problems my site is loading Slowly and heavy at that time i don’t have any video, audio, heavy image or fonts but my site loading slow any one experience this problems share with me to solve this bad problem
Hey
have you tried to optimize the site using the Transitions trick and the Image Sharpening trick? There is some videos on Youtube on how to do this. And as you might have read the Wix platform will be performance optimized on server levels the 11 of march. I have create a very graphic heavy site and it loads under 5 secs and often around 3, https://www.sunlight.se.
I would think that if the translate issue that i have read above is indeed correct. I will be cancelling my premium service straight away and warning other prospective customers of the perils. I have just spent over 3 hours trying put Google Translate into my newest website. At no point when I was renewing my contract was this highlighed.
I’ve been trying to use Google Translate also with no luck. I did have success with Convey This but there is a cost $$$ involved.
