How to import accented characters into a collection?

Hi fellow members,

I’m trying to import a CSV file as a new collection. Everything works fine, except when I look at some words like “Señor”, it shows up as:

and “¿Donde” shows up as:

and “podría” shows up as:

… you get the idea.
I checked the CSV file that I am importing and the accent information is correct in there.
Also, it’s not like the Wix collection itself is unable to support these accented characters as I am able to manually correct them using the Alt codes for each of the characters. Obviously, this is not a satisfactory solution as I cannot manually correct all such cases.
It appears that the issue might lie in the CSV parser during importing itself.

Anyone else seen this issue?
|Any ideas on how to get around this?

I have the same issue. Given that this was almost 4 years ago, I was hoping there would be a solution posted here by now, but it doesn’t look like there is… I have the same problem with french characters

In case anyone else runs into this same problem. Saving your CSV as UTF-8 format should fix the issue
