I volunteer for a church whose website is on the Wix platform. We send out a weekly newsletter by email using Wix but have become very frustrated by Wix’s automatic de-activating a subscriber who doesn’t open several emails in a row or doesn’t click on any links in the emails. Our newsletters are meant as info only and do not ask for any response. Many of our parishioners don’t always open their newsletters because of travel or whatever. When Wix de-activates a contact that remains a subscriber, there is no way to re-activate the subscriber other than deleting the contact and re-creating it! Finally, we have been frustrated by the great difficulty and effort it takes to get any kind of support from Wix. An online chat with a support person resulted in the support person having no knowledge of the automatic de-activating so she kept referring to other issues. An email she later sent from a do-not-reply adcdress indicated an email address for support but the first email sent there generated a “this email address is no longer used” response all within the same day!
Does anyone know how to
(1) Turn off the automatic de-activating, or, if not,
(2) To what email address I can send Wix a request to add a turn-off option, and
(3) Reach Wix’s support in a much easier and rapid manner?
