I decided our website would go with Wix on our redesign because it has a lot of powerful customization elements. For our rental site we get 70% traffic via mobile, and with the booking calendar system we currently use it’s not very user friendly to reserve with portrait mode, so we encourage our customers to utilize landscape. The booking platform we use will have a more responsive version up by end of the year, and we get a good rate and engagement otherwise, we currently use it on Squarespace and landscape works just fine.
For whatever reason Wix has put 0 effort into a responsive landscape mode. So when you turn your phone, the entire screen bloats up and the website becomes completely unusable . Is there no workaround to this? Apparently Wix doesn’t support landscape mode at all because not enough customers use it to satisfy their requirement to put in the effort to have a responsive mobile page. Am I just SOL? Do I need to search elsewhere? See attached images - first is in portrait mode:
