Hi, I have a really good quality image but when I load it into wix and put it on my web page the quality is poor, can I fix this so that the image loads up in good quality?
Are you using a gallery, or just the image element to add your image to the page. When displaying images on websites, we must concern ourselves with load time.
Are you uploading the image at high quality, without compression? I think the less Wix has to compress the image, the better the quality. So, if you compress to your liking ahead of time, then you may improve your chances for a better quality.
Another thing to look at is actual size. If you display the image larger than it actually is, then quality will suffer regardless of prep.
You may want consider not worrying about the image displayed, and give visitors the options to view (or even download) the actual jpg in a browser window by itself, uncompressed.
I have an artist who shows a thumb (compressed), a larger image (less compressed) and a link to view the JPG (un-compressed) in a new window.
I hope this helps.
Good luck.
