Hi, I want to have a photo as background on a container and than add a fade to black at the bottom. Why is it so difficult? I can’t manage to do it…

I added a solution with custom CSS.
It’s been nearly 2 years since this was introduced, yet has not made its way into containers or other elements. What’s the hold up on this?
