Is it normal to be refused a refund despite builder not working?

Hi folks. I enjoyed using Wix but pretty much had my entire site built before I noticed that none of the blog pages loaded correctly. Too slow. People I shared it with complained that ‘the link’s broken’, presumably because of timeout. At first, Wix support seemed happy to help, even acknowledging the problem. Their tech team ultimately said that sorry, they don’t have the capacity to help me. They had more important issues to address. So I moved the domain and entire site page by page to Squarespace and haven’t looked back. I then asked for a refund from Wix. I was told that LCP (slow speed) wasn’t something covered in the package I’d bought (€165) and that they would not refund the money. A reasonable person surely would expect a premium product to work, and for the supplier not to hide behind smallprint to avoid liability. Anyone else had a similar experience? I’d like to take it further.

Wix only offers 14 day refund policy for the first purchase.

Also, the premium plan is for premium features. The Wix Blog app is free and it’s just an app. You are free to install whatever Blog app you want.

I personally moved my blog off of Wix for post content limits.

Are you on the premium plan (Elite) and still experiencing slow speed issues?

It was a premium plan. After explaining the issue several times they refunded the money.
