Lead/recommendation conversions

Interested to hear from other Arena Experts as to how easy they find it to convert recommendations into live commissions. Whilst we’re doing ok, we’re finding that prospective clients are either going with the first person that connects with them or it’s a cost issue, despite placing ourselves in a pricing category in the first place. Just wondering how others fair with this?

And there was a round table with [@Anthony Walker] who leads the Wix arena tribe. :slight_smile: he had some great insights.

I like to respond to requests immediately upon receiving them (whenever possible). This shows the prospect that I value their business and am responsive. I do not send “form” emails, yet I do have a template that I use and input relevant information and pricing. I found that another very important tool is getting positive reviews. When prospects see my profile with over 20 reviews it garners more trust. It also helps with getting more leads (or so I’m told).
It’s also important to realize that there are some leads that are just not serious about paying a designer what we’re worth. I found that if I get a 15-20% conversion rate I’m doing ok.

How do you see your reviews and rankings? - I just finished my first lead that I closed so I know I don’t have any yet but I would like to be able to see and ask for reviews :slight_smile: - I responded to every lead almost immediately this was the 1st one that responded and the first one I closed.

@avanidigitaldesigns Good Job!. When you submit a job to the arena the customer gets an email to submit a review. You can also send the link to review i(t’s next to the submitted job). You’ll see your reviews in your profile and also be notified when someone leaves a review. Currently there is no way to see your ranking in the arena.

@jerry-sutton thank you! :smiley:

Thanks, everybody. This is very helpful and I’ll check out the video tomorrow in work. We do personalise every reply so we’re doing that right, at least! Our only issue is that we’re in the UK so aren’t always able to respond immediately but, ironically, the very first job we were commissioned for was for a client in North Carolina and he was over the moon with the work so gave us a glowing review. We’ve only been a part of the Arena for a month or two but we’re always looking at ways we can evolve and respond more professionally. It’s a great idea and I’m really enjoying the journey.

How can a client leave a review if I had completed their site before being an expert? Do they need to submit to the arena and just have me accept and submit the project.

Hi Sutton.jerry,

I came across your post from last year. Wondering if you can share your email response ‘template’? I’m always experimenting on what to say in the follow up email to get them respond.
