Hi all, sharing an app I just published. Over the years there have been quite a few threads here asking how to add an auction or bidding to a Wix site (charity auctions, art, collectibles, school fundraisers), and the usual answers were a form plus Pay Links by hand, or Velo code.
What it does:
- you create an auction in the dashboard (photos, starting bid, end time, shipped or pickup) and it shows on your site with the price and a countdown that update live
- bidders bid as guests with a name and email, no member sign-up; the first bid from a new email waits for a one-time confirmation link, so nobody can bid under someone else’s address
- a late bid pushes the end back a few minutes, so nobody wins by sniping in the last second
- silent auctions with sealed bids (bidders only see how many bids there are and their own)
- when it ends, the winner gets an email with a link that opens your normal Wix checkout at the winning price, with your shipping, taxes and payment methods
- the free plan runs one auction at a time with unlimited bids; Pro adds reserve price, Buy now, max bids, scheduled starts and offering the item to the next bidder if the winner doesn’t pay
Bidder page and emails come in 11 languages. Wix Stores isn’t needed.
