Question:
Does anyone have a membership or members only site?
Product:
This is a Wix Editor issue.

What are you trying to achieve:
On the members only page, I am trying to get an option to show more details about the members, e.g. their name, what company they own, and what their title is at that company, maybe even a contact link without having to click on the members actually profile which seems to still be limited.

What have you already tried:
I tried reaching out to wix but the feature does not seem to exist yet!

Additional information:
Are their any developers here or website builders who have encountered or solved this issue before?

If you’re looking for more than the basic member information offered by the standard Member Profile Card, Wix provides additional options to create a more comprehensive member area tailored to your needs.

Method 1: Leverage Wix Data and Dynamic Pages (Recommended for Beginners)

  1. Create a Member Data Collection:
  • In your Wix dashboard, go to “Data” and create a new “Collection.”
  • Add fields for the member information you want to display (name, company, title, etc.).
  1. Populate the Member Data Collection:
  • You can manually add members or import them from a CSV file.
  • Ensure each member has a unique identifier (e.g., email address).
  1. Design Your Member Page Template:
  • In Wix Editor, create a new page that will serve as the template for individual member pages.
  • Add elements to display the member’s details (name, company, title, etc.).
  • Crucially, include a text element to display the member’s unique identifier. This will be used for dynamic linking later.
  1. Create Dynamic Pages:
  • Go back to your “Data” section in the Wix dashboard.
  • Select the member data collection you created earlier.
  • Click on “Create Dynamic Pages.”
  • Choose the member page template you designed in step 3.
  • Wix will automatically create a separate member page for each item in your data collection. Each page will display the corresponding member’s information.
  1. Link Member List Items to Member Pages:
  • Go back to the member list element in Wix Editor (on the members-only page).
  • Select each member list item and click “Link.”
  • Choose the “Dynamic Page” option from the linking menu.
  • Select the appropriate member page from the list based on their unique identifier.

  • Wix Code: If you need more control and customization, Wix Code provides a powerful development environment. You can code custom signup forms, member data management, conditional logic, and other advanced features.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Wix App Market offers various third-party membership management apps that integrate with Wix and might provide more features. However, these often have additional costs and complexity.
