Only Sections can have scroll effects now - old Wix supported this for cells too

This is another cool feature that was unfortunately eliminated from Wix.

In the old Wix Editor, you could apply parallax and other pleasing scroll effects to a cell but now it’s only possible for an entire section. You can imagine that it’s very limiting. I would like to pan or parallax-scroll the image in a cell rather than the whole section.

It wouldn’t be a problem if interactions for IMAGES applied to the CONTENT of the image instead of the image box. Then you could pan, zoom, etc. the CONTENTS of the image, and everything would be great. Sadly, the interactions for images apply to its image’s “box” (body), so its box will get larger on Zoom, or the box will slide on Parallax Scroll, etc. This is not the desired or expected behavior for image interactions. Please bring back image effects for cell backgrounds (or tell me what I’m doing wrong).

Agreed! I’m trying to add a simple parallax effect to an image that’s stretched out on a section but as it does “parallax” when previewed, as I scroll the image overlaps whatever section i have above it instead of staying within the section. Unlike old versions, the parallax effect would stay within the “strip” and have no effect on other elements outside of it.
