Parallax scrolling in Wix Studio overlapping section above

Why are my images, stretched in cells, overlapping the section above when set to parallax scroll? Maddening when it was so simple in the Classic Editor

What are you trying to achieve:
PARALLAX SCROLL without overlapping the section above

What have you already tried:
A Wix Fix video walked through several steps of setting it manually. It didn’t work for me. I tried various settings relative to the section, the cell, and the image. Nothing has worked. Don’t understand why the animation option doesn’t work. It was flawless in Classic Editor.

Hi there, I don’t see that anybody ever responded regarding your issue with parallax. I’m having the same issue in WIx Studio and it IS maddening. I’ve tried everything I can think of and it is targeting the copy sections above and below (NOT set to parallex), and not the image I set. I’m wondering if you ever figured out a fix?

Hi, I’ve come across your question in 2026.. for anyone who might be looking for a solution I will share how I’ve managed that. So, if you want to set a parallax effect on, apply that on a wanted item (image etc) and go to design toolbar for the cell or container (where your image is) , basically we go to the “parent” item and choose hide in overfow mode. It should work, as It did for me, hope that will help!

Also worth sharing that there’s the “Fill Parallax” option that was introduced not too long ago (at the bottom of the scroll animations for images).

It has the same functionality from the Wix Editor (the parallax being within the bounding box)
