Pricing plans Checkout is too lacking compared to Wix Stores checkout

Goal: A better checkout solution; having settings to select functionalities & elements depending on what a checkout is used for

  • Issue 1: No uniformity when needed. Wix’s checkouts are very inconsistent, across different Wix apps & tools; Stores, Pricing Plans, Pay button etc. Some checkouts lack useful elements/features/fields & provide no straightforward option to replicate them. Workarounds can be tedious or seem out of place. eg. If I need 1 / 2 / 3 to show on almost all forms, it can’t be done efficiently (see image)

That Setting>Checkout page doesn’t even apply to most checkouts! It’s just for Stores

  • Issue 2: No differentiation when needed. Some checkout functionalities/elements can’t be selected based on particular use case/app/product category. eg. If I need 6 / 7 to show on some checkouts & not others, it can’t be done efficiently

Feature Request: If these features can be turned on / off based on the app, category & specific case (based on some forms/pages) like many tools’ settings, it would be great. So the appropriate checkout template can be chosen.

Over recent months, there has been an effort to update existing apps to use the shared “ecomm platform” which provides Wix apps (and third part developers) a shared platform for developing ecommerce related features.

Pricing Plans is in the process of moving over to ecomm platform and will support the shared checkout.

This setting currently applies to Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, Wix Restaurants Orders (New) orders, Wix Donations, and is in the process of becoming available for Pricing Plans.

Noted feedback :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: will share with the team

Thank you Noah, your responses are great & always valued.

  1. Any idea around when Pricing plans would get this? And the ecom platform? Wondering if its soon or if I should find & go through all those current workarounds
  2. Will the ecom platform be available for core premium? When digging earlier I came across that option but when added it asked to upgrade to a new ecom plan:
