Hi Wix team,
I’m reaching out about an issue connecting .sol.site subdomains to Wix sites.
The Problem:
When a user tries to connect a subdomain like alice.sol.site to their Wix site, Wix requires them to first connect the root domain sol.site. However, sol.site is a public suffix — individual users only own their subdomains, not the root domain. This is the same concept as .github.io or .netlify.app, where each subdomain is independently owned.
PSL Status:
sol.site has been reviewed, approved, and merged into the official Public Suffix List maintained by Mozilla: https://github.com/publicsuffix/list/blob/main/public_suffix_list.dat
About sol.site:
sol.site is operated by SNS (Solana Name Service), a Web3 naming platform on the Solana blockchain. We issue .sol.site subdomains to thousands of independent users. Each subdomain functions as a separate, independently owned site — users need to be able to connect their individual subdomains to Wix without requiring access to the root domain.
What we’re requesting:
Could Wix please update its internal PSL data so that sol.site is recognized as a public suffix? This would allow each .sol.site subdomain to be connected independently, just like subdomains under other public suffixes.
Thank you for looking into this!
