Roundup: Control Min and Max text size globally from your site styles

This week, we shared some small updates that are big wins for your productivity - controlling Min and Max text size globally from your site styles, and letting the Inspector panel do the math: resize elements with calculations.

We also asked our Agency Owners to share some of their knowledge, and are excited about our upcoming community events.

It gets better for Partners - you can now earn revenue share for Hopp by Wix.

Meet Your Community

Who doesn’t love a bit of Friday wisdom?

We asked asked our Agency Owners, this week, to share “the hardest lessons you had to learn when first getting started with your business? ”.

Here’s some of what they had to say:

  • “It’s “okay” to let clients know that your agency might not be a perfect fit for their needs. ” - @SKSCreative
  • “Good neighbors don’t necessarily make good clients.@Dena
  • “Walking away from projects that “feel wrong” is always the right decision.” @ann-creablu
  • “You will have to work much harder than you would ever think possible in order to be successful… and to not be successful - and that success itself is non-linear/takes time.
(So basically, be kind to yourself and remember that it’s a journey!)” - @info84367

Control Min and Max text size globally from your site styles

We know you’ve been asking for this small update on Studio that’s a big win for your productivity…

You can now set the Min and Max size of text that’s set to scale proportionally from your Site Styles :tada:

These sizing properties will be saved and globally updated across your site, keeping text size consistent.

Let the Inspector panel do the math: resize elements with calculations

You can now use addition ( + ), subtraction ( - ), multiplication ( * ) and division ( / ) when typing size values. For example, make an element 3 times wider by adding *3 next to the existing width—no need to do that math yourself.

Is there going to be a recording that I’ll be able to watch somewhere? I’d really love to see the various tips and tricks that they share and the challenges and workarounds while creating large scale web portals using Wix.

@noahlovell I can’t change the min and max text sizes on my Wix editor. It doesn’t even show the options. I can only choose a theme and make some changes. However I do have issues with screensizes. Laptops with bigger text settings don’t see the text on my website while those who have the lowest setting of text size on windows see the webpage fine. I need to resolved to go live with my website. Please help. How do I get the min & max options for text?

Hey @Nima_Chalebyani!

There was a Known Issue using min & Max values, which has since been resolved - Wix Studio: Font Min & Max Values Reset in Text Theme | Help Center | Wix.com

It’s also worth checking that you’re using the Wix Studio editor, rather than than Wix editor (when in the editor, if you have a dark bar at the top with a circle and square logo in the top left, you’re using Studio  ) - since this feature is only available on Studio
