Section fixed scroll effect disable

Hi,

Trying to follow this post https://support.wix.com/en/article/editor-x-adding-scroll-effects-to-sections, I was wondering why sticky option is enable but fixed option is not

Besides, in the example, there is a “Change Design” option to the left of Adjust Grid, and I do not have that either

Probably this is really basic, but I just do not get it

Some help would be appreciated

Hi @noanest ,

Only the top most, bottom most, left most, and right most sections can have a ‘fixed’ scroll effect.

As for ‘Change Design,’ this is now in the Design Tab in the Inspector, on the right-hand side of the editor.

I hope this helps.

Hi @carmelsc , thanks for the quick reply

Sadly I had tried that, and fixed option remains disable. To be honest, I am feeling dum over this

This section is at the top of the page, just next to the header

Please let me know

Hi @noanest ,

You can set a fixed scroll on the header (top most section), and footer (bottom most section), but not on a section just below the header.

However, you can try to add a container, stretch it to the size of the section (full width), and set the container scroll to ‘fixed’. Hopefully that will achieve something similar to what you are looking to do.

Thanks,

Carmel

Exactly what I was trying to do
Great support, thanks !

Hi @carmelsc ,

One more thing, I selected the header and fixed scrolling effect remains disable. The same happens with the footer

The left most and right most works

Please let me know,

Hi @Sebas,

Okay, maybe check that your header is at the top of the page in all you breakpoints? If that’s not the issue, do you mind sharing your site so we can take a look?

Thanks,
Carmel

Hi,

Yes it is at the top of the page in all breakpoints

The screenshots I sent are from ttps://www.noanestdigital.com/qrcodetesting

Please let me know

Hey @noanest ,

Another thing that should be checked is that the header is at the top in all pages. Only then it can be set to fixed. This is because it a Master section, so the Fixed option should be applied to all the pages it is shown as master. (even if it is hidden, it should be at the top).

Hi @miril thanks for replying,

I do have the header at the top in all pages, and also in all breakpoints. I also have it hidden in some dynamic pages. At the moment fixed scrolling option remains disable when I choose header

The same happens to the footer though

Thanks

Hey @noanest ,
After taking a closer look at your site, I think there might be a technical bug hidden somewhere. I recommend you to open a ticket to EditorX support to get a quick response and fix to the issue. You can use this link: https://www.wix.com/support-chatbot

@miril , I’ll do that.

Thanks for the time you took on this issue
