Site is indexed but doesn't show up when i google search

Question:
My client’s site is indexed and live but why is it not showing up when I google search??

Product:
Wix Studio

I need his site to show up in google search.
I want to see how he ranks in google search and keep improving his SEO

What have you already tried:
I’ve completed all SEO tasks, except linking to a Google Business Profile because he already had one in place. I did add his website to his current GBP.

Additional information:
“Update site type” and “Get found on Google” are still showing IN PROGRESS. Is this the issue?

Completing the SEO checklist isn’t a guarantee to be ranked highly on Google for specific keywords/phrases. It’s a guide of best practices to assist you in that path.

SEO is a complex topic with many different things that can have an impact (both on page and off page).

I’d recommend taking a look at some of the resources on the Wix SEO Hub, or taking time to complete the SEO Course - which will provide you more tips and insights.

I understand. My concern is that the site isn’t showing up at all. I’ve gone through all the google pages to check. I will definitely check out the SEO hub and course. Thank you!!

Awesome - if you search site:mydomain.com on Google, you’ll see all the indexed pages.

For example:

This will give you a better idea of if the site is indexed (and SEO needs working on) or if the site hasn’t been indexed yet, and steps need to be taken to make it indexed

Yes, I did that already and it shows up as indexed. But when I do I google search of the business name, the website doesn’t show up in my results. Thank you again!!

How long has it been indexed? It takes a while to move up the rankings I’ve noticed.

Hi. It’s been indexed just over a week. But because my other sites showed up right away in google search, this one concerned me, especially because it wasn’t showing up at all when I would search the business name.

Is the business name a common phrase which has many other hits on google?

Possibly… It’s “Landscape Specialties” . Other issues are that the name is used by other landscapers in other states and my client still has his old website up.

Based on that, you definitely want to see about linking his old site to the site to drive traffic to it. It’d also be good idea to see if they are on any directories and update any links as well as there socials.
It might also be a good idea to see what keywords users seeing when the site does show up in the SERPs and focus on those. Wix Analytics has reports that could help out with that (though if you just indexed the site recently, you might not have much data to draw from).
