So let me get this right…
You created Editor X, steered us to create on Editor X, then disabled our sites because Editor X sites need upgraded Editor X Premium Plans, won’t allow us to convert back to normal Wix sites and NOW, Wix Studio has taken over anyway so can’t make Editor X.
This site has cost me so much money this year with their pathetic pricing decisions, impossibility to track what payment is what and REALLY frustrating support.
I’m done with Wix. Don’t renew your subs. There are better platforms our there.
Hey @Daniel_Kendall!
Sorry to hear your experience hasn’t met your expectations.
Hopefully, I might be able to clarify a few things.
We heard a lot of feedback from freelancers and agencies that Editor X had a steep learning curve. We took a lot of that feedback and introduced Studio, answering a lot of the feature requests that creators were requesting, for example more no-code interactions.
It’s always been possible to build with the Wix editor and Editor X regardless of your account. We’ve given flexibility to users about which editor works best for them.
This being said, yes Editor X sites will soon be moved over to Studio and we’ll have more details about the process and how it works in the coming weeks.
You can build on the Wix Editor/Editor X/Studio for free, and when the time is right for you, can upgrade your Premium plan to gain additional features such as connecting a domain etc.
Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to answer
Right but what I don’t agree with, is I renewed my Editor X plan in May, and now all of a sudden, I need to pay another £100 to upgrade it to an Editor X Plan.
Or my alternative is to create a site of Wix Studio, where I don’t get ANY discounts.
I think it’s poor practice. I’ve been making sites for clients on Wix for years, now I need to be migrating elsewhere. It’s just a headache.
