I am building a WIX site that serves dynamic content sourced from another non-WIX site using an html element on a dynamic page. I have SSL enabled on my WIX site for my registered domain. The non-WIX site is currently not using HTTPS as I do not have an SSL certificate for the site. Consequently, the published WIX site will not load the non-WIX site’s content as it is not using HTTPS.
I would like to associate the non-WIX site with the domain I registered with WIX and install an SSL certificate. Is it possible to obtain an SSL certificate for my domain from WIX for use on 3rd party servers?
In order for your site to be fully compatible for HTTPS, you need to make sure that none of the HTML elements on your site contain embedded site link references to HTTP sites.
If the embedded site contains HTTP in the link, then you will receive an error notice.

Thank you Tal. I am familiar with the articles you cited; however, they do not address my question.
Since my WIX site is SSL enabled, I want to know if there is a way I can use the SSL certificate that WIX obtained for my domain for use with another server (which is not the WIX site) so that my embedded links will refer to an HTTPS link.
Scott, that would more or less defy the whole purpose of an SSL-certificate, so no, that is not possible. You will have to get an SSL-certificate from your hosting provider on the non-Wix site.
