Hi Guys,
I have set up a dataset that includes our team members name, photo etc.
Then I connected the dataset to a repeater presented on the website.
I would now like to present the team members in a custom order on the webpage.
In order to do so I created a row named ‘Order’ which lists the items from 1-16 as shown here:
However, after setting the list to sort according to the ‘Order’ column from A-Z the list still appears randomly as you can see. I tried replacing the numbers(1-16) with letters from A-Z and then the list does set itself correctly(Is using numbers not an option?). Following that I synced the data as shown here:
This did not affect the order of which the items are shown on the webpage in any way.
I also tried setting a sort in the live dataset directly:
but this view seems to have a ‘life of its own’ and doesn’t affect the offline data sheet, the webpage or the other live dataset view as shown here:
To sum up, I would like to ask why there are 3 different ways to view your data set? why aren’t they connected to each other and what one of them affects what the users see on my website?
I would also like to ask why I can’t sort the from A-Z when using numbers and why changing the order of the items does not affect the order in which the items are shown on the website?
Thanks!!!
