Question:
I have just been retained to redesign an existing Wix website. After reading past comments it appears Studio is not compatible with the classic editor in any way. My question then is do I just start redesigning using a staging location and request a transfer of the finished product when the client accepts the finished work?

Wix Studio is its own editor and platform, designed for agencies and freelancers.

Currently, the only option is the start a fresh in the Studio editor, although the teams are working on the ability to migrate Editor X sites to Wix Studio.

Keep in mind, that if you choose to start fresh, you might loose data from the new dashboard that you had available on the old site, like sales data, analytics and other stuff
