Why does WIX still offer new customers WIX Editor insteed WIX Studio?

Question:
Does Wix offer new customers in germany Wix Editor in first place and not Wix Studio?
Why does WIX still offer new customers WIX Editor insteed WIX Studio???

Product:
Wix Editor, Wix Studio Editor, Editor X

What are you trying to achieve:
My customer need to transfer their Premium plan to their new website created with Wix Studio. It is not possible to transfer the new website because the new customer bought the Wix Business plan for Wix Editor and not for Wix Studio.

Their website was build second times, first time in Wix Editior and second time in Wix Studio, cause if I understand correctly, WIX is in the process of making a switch from WIX editor to Wix Studio. Migrating a Site from Editor X to the Studio Editor is still not possible.

Now the customer need to book extra another plan for Wix Studio Businesses that we can transfer their Premium Account to their new website build with Wix Studio? Sorry Wix, this is a very bad experience for me as a partner and for all new Wix customers.

When we open wix.com in Germany, we get the following offer:
https://www.wix.com/premium-purchase-plan/dynamo
If I understand correctly, this is an offer for Wix Editor and not for Wix Studio.
The customer found this information in first place and booked a Wix Business plan.

Here ist the offer what i see for Wix Studio in germany, when i am logged in as partner:
https://www.wix.com/premium-purchase-plan/studio

Additional information:

  1. Why ist the Wix pricing for plans not transparent visible and free accessible?
  2. Why customers must be logged in to see the prices for the plans?
  3. Have we done something wrong or is this a mistake?

@mrs_benedetti Hi there! I hope I can provide clarification for you.

Editor X will fully transition to Wix Studio in the coming months. This will happen gradually. Eventually, all Editor X sites will be updated to Wix Studio. (Starting April 2024, you’ll no longer be able to create new sites on Editor X.)

Wix Editor, however, is not changing.
As of now, the option to migrate a site from the Wix Editor to Wix Studio is not in our plans for the next year.

If you make the switch to Wix Studio, the transition will change your workspace only. All sites will remain in their original editor. This means you can enjoy all the benefits of the Studio workspace but you can continue to use the editor of Wix Editor. (You don’t have to use the Studio’s editor if you prefer not to.)

If you already have a premium plan assigned to a Wix Editor site, you can reassign that plan to the Wix Studio site by upgrading the plan to a Studio plan.
(Any remaining credit from the old plan is deducted from the price of the upgrade during the purchase process. This credit is deducted after any discounts from a coupon or seasonal sale are applied.)

Pricing for the various plans may differ depending on your geographic location which is why you need to be logged into your account to see the relevant pricing.

Thanks for the detailed answer. The various offers lead to confusion because the new customer in Germany is first made an offer that is for the old editor.

If a customer want to book the studio editor, further steps are required for the customer. This is of course annoying for customers if they have booked a package that they have to change it again. Customers don’t understand this so easily.

I will help the customers to change their plan from Wix Editor or Editor X to Wix Studio.
