How is the complexity and size of the project applied in the new rating system? How much does a small task? How much does the creation of a new multipage website? Small task = Advanced Website?
I updated my Wix Arena profile yesterday and added some new websites and hide some other sites. But when I scroll, in the overview with other Experts in my region, through my portfolio I still see some of the websites I hide yesterday. Here’s a little video I made to show you which screen I am referring to: Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom.
Great question! The users don’t always perceive the complexity of the project correctly. What they perceive is a small task could be a more complex project in reality.
@amird How long will it take? Maybe you should turn on geolocation after adding support for all languages?
That might be your cache memory in your browser. just a thought
@sales I already tried that.
@eugene I can’t find her (Leila Rader) in Gilbert, AZ. she is only appears in locations near CA.
The ranking will be increased by:
-
Number of completed projects submitted to the Arena (Arena leads)
-
Number of premium sites you added to your portfolio (non arena)
-
Number of good client’s reviews
-
Response rate
-
Expired leads will make your ranking decreased
-
If you reject too many leads with the reason “not match my skills” or “budget is too low” will make your ranking dropped.
Not sure if this was asked already … but can we choose which portfolio pieces we want to show to potential leads via search and also on our landing Arena profile page?
At the moment, the client can’t leave a negative review until the designer marks the project as completed. I see that 99% of reviews are positive. That’s impossible. I think clients should have the opportunity to leave a true review of the designer, regardless of the desires of the designer itself.
we are aware of that and if will be fixed - thanks
In addition we will give new Arena experts a boost for a short period in order to give them a fair chance to get new leads and rank higher by themselves.
I’ve had leads come to me asking for services I don’t even offer, such as coding. However, if I reject the project then I’m penalized by the algorithm. If I don’t offer the service, then how can I provide it? Can this be improved?
We gave you guys a preview of the new design but we are still working on connecting all the wires.
You can be sure it will be available when the new design will be realis to users .
Will the ability to hide the link to the project be added to the client’s reviews? I wrote about this some time ago https://www.wix.com/experts/home/forum/general-discussion/remove-url-to-the-site-from-review-wix-arena
It shouldn’t work as you described. sound like a bug. If a user select a specific expert and click on “contact me” it should sent him a direct lead. You can contact our support for more investigations.
At the moment, any expert can offer coding services. Perhaps it is worth adding a small exam to confirm the competence of the expert. What do you think?
Sure - just go to your Arena edit profile->projects-> hide or show the ones you want. The limit is 20 projects you can present.
We don’t go into the full details of the ranking system. We are aiming to give the best experience for our users while providing a fair chance to get hired to all experts based on their performance.
Great Questions & Answers! Thanks for all the participants - Let’s do this again soon!
