Wix Bookings configuration question

I’m having trouble with finding the right setup for a wix bookings service, as a little bit of context I own a art studio where you can book a room for an hour, we have two rooms available which allows us to have appointments available every 30 minutes and the service lasts for 90 minutes. The problem we are running into is that since the service lasts for 90 minutes it will block the schedule for 90 minutes and I should be able to get another appointment in 30 minutes. I can’t seem to find a configuration where the system “sees" we have another room available and allows us to show that availability 30 min later, one more thing is that we can’t have 2 appointments at the same time, it has to be only one appointment every 30 minutes.

What you’re trying to do is have 90‑minute sessions, show a new start time every 30 minutes, and let Wix understand that you have 2 rooms, so another client can start 30 minutes later in the second room. You’d also like to avoid having two appointments starting at exactly the same time, and in the future have a single schedule per location.

Here’s a setup that gets you close to what you want:

  1. In your Dashboard, go to Bookings → Staff & Resources → Resources and create two resources: for example, “Room 1” and “Room 2”.

  2. Under Staff, make sure your staff member (or “Studio Host”) is connected to both Room 1 and Room 2.

  3. Go to Bookings → Services and edit your service:

With this configuration, Wix will:

  • Offer new start times every 30 minutes.

  • Prevent the same room from being double‑booked.

  • Allow overlapping 90‑minute bookings by using the second room when the first is busy.

One limitation to be aware of: Wix can’t currently restrict it so that only one appointment can start in each 30‑minute slot across both rooms. If both rooms are free at, say, 10:00, two clients could book 10:00 (one in Room 1, one in Room 2).
