Does anyone have a sense if Wix Code will integrate with Wix Stores?
If so, does anyone have an ETA (3 months; 6 months)?
I’m asking because we have a retail business in Wix Stores. In Wix Code, we’re building a database that connects to a hidden Members Only page, where certain site members can view purchases made by other members (their employees).
Wix Code can’t query Wix Stores at this moment. So, we manually export contacts and orders from Wix Stores as a CSV, then upload them to the database in Wix Code.
It’s cumbersome but fine for now.
If an integration is coming by mid-year, we’ll wait it out. If it isn’t, then we’ll move everything to Wix Code and delete Wix Stores. Specifically, we’ll expand the Wix Code database (adding product descriptions, sizes, images, etc.), include a dynamic product page, and use a third-party shopping cart like Ecwid to manage the checkout. (Ecwid also resolves another problem for us, which is that some of our products have a $0 price).
I’d much rather stay with Wix Stores, so I am hoping someone has heard that an integration with Wix Code is coming. Please let me know, thanks!
I’m Netalee from WixStores. Real soon we will have Stores Products Catalog integrated with Code. Meaning that for you will be able to read the catalog and to write to cart. You will also be able to use current Product Page and get ProductId to have more dynamic features on top of it. Regarding opening our Orders to read from - it is also planned but can’t say exactly when.
At the moment there is no option to ad a link to images on the Wix store.
When the Stores Products Catalogue has been integrated with Wix Code, will I be able to attach links to images on my store, So for example when customers clicks on images they will redirect to another website.

What is the flow? Customer clicks on Product image in a gallery/product page and than redirect to another website? different link per product? is it for affiliate?
And yes you will be able to manage a db collections with all external links and navigate from galleries you built (do you want it to work with WixStores Gallery?)

I have developed a Paid Membership feature that can hide pages from all users except paying members. It also takes care of the recurring payments. That said, Wix Store integration would be awesome! For example, it’d be great to extend my solution to let users purchase their memberships via the Wix Store.
Can’t wait, but getting the ProductId not key for us. We need backend processing keyed around OrderId; with that we can track and manage all aspects of Wix Store transactions and customers.
With your current new API for Members Area and seeing Member orders, we need this exposed to us as well - to see the selected Member Order as a gateway to order info and followup (say for offsite orders) in Wix Code.
