Can I have a basic Wix Plan and a Google Workplace account and then use my Wix domain with my workplace gmail?
I’m a little confused, I’ve read you need a premium Wix plan to get a domain email. What is the benefit of doing it this way?

In Wix, you need to subscribe to a premium plan to use a custom domain for site publishing. Therefore, you must subscribe to at least some kind of premium plan to operate a custom domain email address that matches the domain used for site publishing.

So any paid plan is technically premium? (basic, standard, business, plus, etc)

Yes, in Wix, you can consider all paid plans as premium plans. Also, the ability to publish a site with a custom domain is included as a standard feature in all premium plans (I just confirmed this).
To obtain a custom domain email address, you must subscribe to a premium plan because you cannot publish a site with a custom domain without premium plan.
