Wix Turbo still slow load time.

Hey there, So firstly I welcome that Wix is speeding up their sites. Load time has been an issue for a long while. But I want to say that I am just not seeing any speed improvements, I am also getting conflicting results when compared to Google Speed tools.

My site: https://www.seoza.co.uk/ is receiving a 24/100 mobile load time 2.5 secs to first paint, a huge 27.3 secs to interactive. Desktop is 48/100. 0.7 secs to first paint, 5.1 to interactive (Google Page Speed Insights). However the Wix speed tool is stating the speeds are 1.8 secs (view) to 3.0 secs (interact). The data that Wix provides is what I would like. But to have a positive impact on SEO Google needs to agree. This is a new site, no old blog, shop etc. Images optimised and so on… Has the update been fully rolled out? Is anyone feeling a positive impact of this update?

I have a number of sites built on Wix. I am getting similar conflicting results across the board.

Other sites that haven’t felt the update are as follows:

None of the above are seeing any improvement or being rated as average or fast by Google.

Any ideas to speed these sites up would be appreciated. If you have felt a positive impact or also have conflicting data again it would be good to hear. I would be interested to know if anyone’s sites had seen an improvement? Thanks in advance.

The Wix Speed Test Tool has direct insight into the internal workings of sites built on Wix. Using the Wix Speed Test Tool is the best way to test Wix sites, giving you an accurate result for your site’s loading time. Google PageSpeed Insights evaluates the performance of a website looking at external features only. That’s why the results differ, simply because this tool can’t properly measure when a Wix site is visible or when a Wix site is interactive.

Strange results hey. Its new site, so very little traffic. So differing results can not be explained by load on the site or such like.

Thanks for your response. But isn’t the Google Page Speed Insights tool a more accurate reflection of how Google sees and rates the site? I also get slow load times in Google Analytics.

Have you seen a positive uplift in speed on your sites?

I’d also like to say the page load times are appreciated, but am concerned that page speed analysers suggest various optimisations that are not really possible with Wix - is there any documenation regarding common page speed issues on Wix sites that may or may not be relevant?
