Automation is sending a different email template than shown

I’m having trouble with
We have a default App Automation notifying a member when their plan has expired. We have edited the template. The Automation works, but with some bugs:

  • It is not sending the edited version of the template. It appears to send a default version that we cannot locate in the automations.
  • One of our members received the message (on the wrong template). But that person’s name/email does not show in the Email Stats. It’s like he got a message from a different site. (we only have one site).
  • I see sent messages in the Email Stats, but I have not been able to verify what template those other members have received. I only have the one case.

Working in
Wix backend, as Owner/Admin. Automations.

What I’m trying to do
We want to send the plan expiration email using the edited template.

What I’ve tried so far

In the Automation editor, I considered using the Switch Template option to see if there is another template lurking. But I have not followed through as I receive this warning:

Switching to another template will replace this entire email and any changes previously made will be lost.

I don’t want to have to recreate the customized template. But I will if I have to.
