Question:
Is it possible to SEND an email to a recipient that isn’t a collaborator on the Wix site?
What are you trying to achieve:
I have a client that wants nothing to do with the website nor do they want to be a “collaborator” on WIX but they need to receive the submissions from the contact forms. I’m able to add them as a recipient under the “GET an email” automation but that response email is messy, cluttered, and adds a bunch of unnecessary information they don’t need to see.
Additional information:
I love how you are able to edit the template of the emails in the “SEND an email” automation because it looks professional and on brand with the website. That’s the email I want my client to receive instead of the email notification.

Exactly what I need to know also.

I consider this a HUGE oversight by Wix. Most of my clients only want to receive the info submitted and have no desire to be added to the site in any way. Will Wix address this or will they just ignore it?

I agree. I’m having the same issues with forms. It used to be easy and not complicated. If I wanted to add a client email to a form so they can receive the form submission and attachments, all I needed to do was add their email to the form. Now it’s a huge complicated process to do so.
Hope I can provide a little clarity
The “Get an email” action has recently been removed as an action on new automations as it was considered a legacy feature with underlying issues. The “Send an email” action includes the same capabilities and is supported by the Wix Emails team. You may have noticed other Wix apps transitioning their notification emails to this system for a more streamlined and holistic experience managing notification emails across Wix.
When defining a “Send an email” action, you have the option to connect a Contact, Contact labels, Contact segment or Collaborator role. One of the benefits of this approach is being able to bulk update automations in the future. Imagine having 10 different automations sent to a client - previously, had they changed their email, you would have needed to update each automation separately. Now, by connecting to a contact for example, updating who those automations are sent to is as simple as updating the contact’s email address
Hope this clears things up a little - let me know if there are any other questions
@noahlovell perfect! This new feature is what I was looking for and provides solutions to what I was asking about. This is HUGE!
Thanks!
