Hello community,
I have been using Wix for 8 years and I admit that I am amazed by the progress that has been made by this brand that I love. I am also very happy to be in Wix partners for some time but also I am disappointed with the management of the Wix Marketplace team and also with the Legal department of Wix.
Many WIX PARTNERS can write anything in their descriptions: some pretend to be Wix which is to deceive the end customer, others put the name Wix in their names while this is strictly prohibited by the Wix Arena… others put themselves forward as “ambassadors”, “Wix certified”, “Wix certified trainer”, and others would have noted “if you want to make beautiful websites don’t go through Wix” in their descriptions !
What is Wix doing !!!
If to become Wix Partners the rule is to create only 5 websites I do not find that qualitative at all. Some new trusted partners would like to enter when they have refused entry and others allow themselves to do anything and are not excluded from the platform …
What is fantastic and dramatic is that Wix is increasingly highlighting partners with end users… so why is there not more control with wix partners to enforce good practices?
Another example, especially when you read some comments on TrustPilot, many people take Wix Partners for Wix and the result is catastrophic.
I do not judge anyone in particular, anyone can make mistakes, and I imagine that I too had to be borderline spent a time but I warn about the non-respect of good practices because I had the feeling at the start when I made my request the adherence that Wix was more a community of caring people wishing to improve things than a business platform where everyone adds a layer to stand out…
Personally I have a conversion rate of 1% so the platform is not a source of income for us, but more a portfolio and I would like everyone to play the game, because we are "all customers of all the world ”as much to work in a good spirit.
If the Wix ARENA (MARKETPLACE) and Wix LEGAL teams want to look into the matter to remind the community rules, I think you have some work…
Good confinement to all
Hi there,
We’re glad to have you as a Wix partner and we thank you for the detailed response.
The Marketplace team is aware that some sites use the Wix brand to try and sell their services. We take these cases very seriously and quickly act to resolve these situations, but understand that not every case will be noticed, as thousands of sites are created every day.
When it comes to these types of situations, it’s important that we work together to take action. You can always report sites or any type of copyright infringement by following the steps in this article , or by emailing marketplace-opt@wix.com.
As far as the process to become a Wix partner, we always welcome feedback and I’ll be forwarding yours to the team.
Hello Steven,
You did not understand correctly, I am talking about WIX PARTNERS who are on the marketplace and who do not respect the conditions of use.
Here I am not talking about WIX sites but Wix partners who abuse them.
There are not thousands of Wix partners on the marketplace and it is up to Wix to monitor the partners.
Report actions? Already done, and nothing is taken seriously …
Imagine that a partner wrote on his profile that you should not do site with Wix !
Who is watching?

Hi,
Thank you for clarifying.
I understand this can be frustrating, but with all due respect, don’t assume that we don’t take these matters seriously. You don’t know what’s being done behind the scenes to prevent and resolve these actions.
I encourage everyone who comes across these situations to continue to report them to our team via the channels mentioned above.
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll forward it to the team.
UPDATE: I got in contact with the team and they’re currently working on a solution to improve site monitoring and catch fraudulent behavior more quickly.
So just wanted to clarify, if you see titles such as Wix Ambassador, Wix Certified Webmaster or Wix Certified Trainer it is because those were titles , certificates and badges, that were earned through programs that no longer exist. Those Wix Experts received those badges directly from Wix to display their achievements on their sites.
This community forum displays other digital badges earned by the Wix Experts (such as Corvid Master). While most businesses are honest about their true achievements, others, unfortunately, intentially deceive their audience.
I do agree with your comment that Wix should moderate the Marketplace profiles (the same way they moderate all other community products) for accuracy.
It would actually be great if they could create digital badges for our Wix Marketplace profiles to display the collection of badges we have earned throughout the years. Same way they already display badges in this forum! #featurerequest
i didn’t even know this was going on… i’ve been using wix for almost five years, but dont feel like getting into the wix market place… i had to put a notice on my website because people keep misunderstand my business model… i dont think wix can control that as much as you might wish… i dont recommened leaving wix because all the other good website builders have a grid system which is freaking annoying and takes away all kinds of freedom. their are not any good alternatives.
