Hi folks. Most of my blog pages are slow to load (LCP 18 to 20 sec on some, according Wix’s own site speed tester), plus external tests also show low speed and 504 errors on more than half my posts, which I believe is related to timeout, amounting to the same thing (?) Other static pages load OK.
I’m using an off-the-shelf template with minimal formatting, and a few pre-compressed photos per page – but no bells and whistles. I’m amateur and new to Wix but have used multiple CMSs in the past and haven’t encountered slow speeds like these. I live in Spain, so might it be something to do with distance from Wix servers? Any suggestions out there? Hopefully I’m missing something simple that one of you can identify for me. Using Wix Editor. Tested on multiple browsers and devices.
