Can't get into the Velo IDE - connection fails

I can’t get into the Velo code editor in Wix Studio.

When I’m in the editor and click the “Code in Wix IDE” button, it tries to load but never connects. It just gives me a “disconnected” error or tells me to “reload”. I can’t access my code at all.

I’m sure the problem isn’t on my end. I’ve already tested everything: - Tried it on a different computer. - Tried it on a different network (my phone’s internet). - Tried it with a totally different Wix account.

The problem is the same every time. It really seems like an issue with your servers. What can I do?

Recently the Wix IDE was failing me as well and it was constantly asking me for a refresh - not sure if it is the same issue. @loeiks has kindly proposed using your local IDE ( Wix IDE is not Working - #3 by loeiks ) which hopefully is of help to you.

Thanks for the suggestion! I appreciate you pointing me to the local IDE workaround with the Wix CLI.

It’s a great backup plan. My specific issue seems to be a server-side CORS error, and I currently have an official support ticket open for it. The Wix QA team has confirmed the issue and escalated it to the development team with high priority.

I’m waiting for the official fix for now, but it’s really good to know there’s a solid workaround if it takes too long.
