Editor X: Allow me to migrate my Wix Blog from Classic Editor site to Editor X site. Can someone from Wix help me with this or provide an update?
Hey bud! Weāll get back to you with an answer as soon as we can. ![]()
Hi Guys, Just wanted to reconfirm if this is correct:
I see we can change the order of the pages in the MENU settings, but I donāt see the option to drag and drop pages to rearrange the order.
We wonāt be able to alter the order of the subpages we are creating? Is this correct?
Hey David, good question. Someone from the team will get back to you with an answer as soon as possible.
Hi David! Iām Sebi from the product team.
Currently pages in the Pages Panel canāt be reordered. They are added in order from oldest to newest.
Note that the order of pages doesnāt affect your navigation menu on your site.
Please let us know if that answers your question.
Yes thank you, I guess its just a matter of āorganizationā from our end. In many cases we design 2 or 3 āHOME PAGEā proposals for customers to approve. So it might looks odd having the home page approved not at the top of the panel.
Or later in the future after the website is online we might need to add new pages⦠so when is a 20+ pages site, sometimes is useful to see the SiteMap of the site from the Pages Panel. To have clear view of the general structure of the site.
Or, is there any place where we can see the sitemap of the entire site?
I love Editor X. Iām anxious to use it on a real project! Obviously, the design possibilities for professional websites is unreal.
Hopefully, they will add an āEditā button functionality for images and text so that our clients can just edit the content without having to worry about the design and development for themselves. This is how other systems, which I wonāt name, have handled this challenge.
Great idea!
Woooo! Canāt wait to see what you create!
Hello, I got access yesterday, which I am very happy about.after sitting for 1.5 hours, I saw new products and tested them. 1) the editor began to resemble graphically the figma editor and the tilde constructor.2) I am very happy to be able to edit the tablet version.but I thought that everything will be automatically adjusted to the resolution, but as it turned out it is only ready-made design layouts? 3) very happy to be able to create a grid on the site, no need to set the ruler.4) grouping objects while only pressing shift, but what about cntrl?5) so far, I do not understand how to make an auto-customizable font (the title automatically changes at a lower resolution)?6) I heard that the editor will be paid - interested in the price. 7) the editor eats less RAM, but the processor is also loaded - will the computer be lightened yet?8) interested in site loading speed-templates load quickly, and sites? Will the speed be improved compared to the classic editor?9) I have been looking for a long time how to change the font color
in General, I am very happy that we are developing together. I love wix and promote it to the masses. If we make it more flexible (due to the new editor) and increase the download speed , we will get many times more users and clients. I will wait for answers, thank you.
I tried to build a fully functional site, but had no real luck considering how the majority of the edits carry across all of the renders from desktop to tablet to mobile. It will be an amazing & preferable builder as soon as they turn the mockup previews into what theyāve done with corvid. Iām a fan, but there are still quite a few bugs to be worked through before I even consider publishing a live site through Editor X.
Hello everyone!! I am still feeling my way around the editor. One thing that does not work is the html add-on. I tried to read through the thread but did not find if anyone else was having the same issue.
I embed my spreadshirt store onto my podcast and ecommerce websites.
THANK YOU!!! I just got access this morning and I want to thank you so much for choosing me.
Thereās a lot to get used to on this editor but very excited to see what I can produce.
Thanks again Wix team
Hi,
I am Sebi a Product Manager for Editor X.
Wow! We really appreciate your feedback!
Here are some answers for you:
Currently, we are working on bringing more out of the box responsiveness to the Editor X, some examples of what we already have:
-
Image scaling porportionally
-
Docking elments to their parents
-
Elements with relative width (i.e. %)
-
The layouter
-
Many more to come in the futureā¦
We will investigate if we can make changes to the multi-select keys. Great point.
You can scale your text porpotionally, please read this article: https://support.wix.com/en/article/editor-x-adding-and-customizing-text
Tip: For optional results set the text scale for each breakpoint separately.
In regards to price, at the closed beta time the pricing would stay as wix prices.
We are investigating on how to improve performance constantly, if there are any actions in particular that are increasing the CPU and RAM usage, then please let us know (Through Help & Feedback in the Editor).
Font color can definitely be customized ![]()
Read more about it here: https://support.wix.com/en/article/editor-x-adding-and-customizing-text
We appreciate the kind words about our very exiciting product, we hope to continue hearing valuable feedback that will make our product better for you and your clients.
Thanks,
Editor X Product Team
@sebi-vidret Thanks for the update! Really looking forward to this coming available soonā¦
Hi Michael,
Thanks for being a closed beta user.
We apologize for the experience you had while attempting to build a new site on Editor X.
For Breakpoints, yes all changes will cascade down to the smaller breakpoints, but if at any point you make a change to a smaller breakpoint to an element property (i.e. position, size, colorā¦etc), then that property can no longer be affected by the higher breakpoints.
Watch this video for more info:
We are definitely working on fixing all our bugs and hiccups, if there is anything in particular you want us to address please submit via the Help & Feedback in the Editor.
Kindly,
Editor X Product Team.
Thank you for letting us know. Currently, the HTML component is not supported on Editor X.
The app is listed in the App Market, but we will remove it until it is supported to prevent any confussion.
Please visit the Updates & Release page to keep up to date with new releases.
Kindly,
Editor X Product Team
