External collections counted in the CMS item limitations

Question:
Are external collections counted in the CMS item limitations?

WIX data CMS

What are you trying to achieve:
An explanation about this absurd message I get, after spending weeks on implementing external databases for large collections in order to reduce quota needs on my new project.

What have you already tried:
I searched the web, searched this forum, and found out that wix apps collections and wix blocks collections are not calculated in this quota. Not a single word about external collections.

Additional information:
I have added an image that shows the error message and all the collections stored on wix CMS. please refer to the number marked in red, probably including the items from my external collections.

They shouldnt be counted.
But even the 12,001 is still over the 4000 limitation of the plan you are on.

Yes I know, this project is still not in production, I will upgrade the plan as soon as it’s ready… Sould I be worried?

I checked with the team as it seemed a little strange.

The count is calculated on every insert, update and delete operation (and totals re-evaluated every day).

Was there specific steps you took that caused the temporary offset?
