How to bulk download all Wix Store payment receipts (for tax purposes)?

Question:
Since the automatic invoice generation feature was disabled at the end of February 2025, WixStores now creates payment receipts whenever customers make and complete a purchase through the WixStore. Previously, I could easily access and download all invoices from the invoice overview page. How can I similarly access and download all payment receipts? I urgently need these documents for my accountant.

What are you trying to achieve:
I need to download all customer payment receipts generated since the automatic invoice creation was turned off (end of February). Previously, invoices could be conveniently downloaded from an overview page. I’m looking for a similar functionality for payment receipts so I can provide these documents to my accountant for tax reporting purposes.

What have you already tried:
I checked the Wix dashboard, particularly under Billing, Payments, and Wix Store Orders sections, but couldn’t find an overview or bulk-download option specifically for all payment receipts.

Additional information:
This is critical for tax purposes, and I need a convenient method to export all payment receipts collectively rather than downloading them individually.

Unfortunately not satisfactory. Existing processes are being replaced by new ones with less functionality. I receive several orders per month. Now I have to manually enter every order and download every single receipt.

This is huge issue for e-commerce clients… With no warning issued to partners, we are now assisting clients to bridge a gap of multiple weeks in their accounting. I had a long exchange with support and exposed all of the issues caused by this change.

From the lack of communication to the receipts number functionning separately from the invoices, this is a conundrum that is causing us time and money - all to convince clients to stay with Wix.

It’s infuriating to see changes like this missing huge pieces of the functional puzzle and be told we know have to work extra hard to get it maybe resolved.

I believe the only reason there is not more noise about this issue is that most clients have yet to discover the change. The end of march will be chaos for a lot of them.

Thanks for the tag :slight_smile: - I’m aware there was some changes coming with the introduction of recipets, but unaware of the impact this was to have.

This isn’t the only issue. Yesterday, I received a partial refund, but the receipt doesn’t reflect the new amount—it only shows the full amount. :frowning: This is really frustrating. How could Wix make such a poor decision? It’s fundamental for a website’s functionality. I’m very disappointed.

the end of the month is approaching and I’m getting a bit mad!

Some of the receipts are not created and sent automatically. Even though automation is activated. Especially with recurring subscription orders!

Today there is no possibility to view receipts. The link is no longer displayed in the respective order.

That really can’t be right. I have decided in favour of Wix so that I can find a solution that saves me time and work. I currently pay a lot of money for a lot of work that I have to do myself.

When can I expect to be able to call up the receipts in the orders again?
When can I expect to be able to download all receipts for all orders with just one click?

Regarding errors in functionality that should be working, I’d recommend opening a ticket with the Customer Care team (Contact Wix) or report a bug here.

March is over and i will soon have to do my bookkeeping to fulfil the tax requirements. unfortunately i still have no possibility to download the receipts in bulk. i had a contact with the product manager of wix receipts and described my problem. since then i have not heard anything more.
the massive extra effort of having to download every single receipt separately is unbearable for me. i have already cancelled one of my premium wix packages.

the way in which things are not communicated makes me doubt whether further changes will happen in the future without any communication about the effects of the changes.
i have several premium packages and will have to migrate them one by one where i have a better feeling. of course this will not happen overnight as my business frontend and backend is based on wix. too bad. as i have been with wix for many years but such a communication policy is unacceptable to me!

Looping around on this conversation after being OOO :slight_smile: - and I have a few updates to share. If I’m missing any of the questions asked, let me know!


At the end of last week, the team introduced a new ā€˜hub’ page, similar to the one that existed for ā€˜Invoices’. You can access this from the ā€˜Search’ at the top of the site dashboard, and when viewing a receipt. They’re also working to add an entry point from the sidebar, under the ā€˜Sales’ tab.

This hub page is the first step and should make it easier to see all receipts that have been issued. Additionally, this gives the team the option to bring the ā€˜bulk download’ option as shared from feedback (I don’t have an ETA yet).


Issuing invoices can be done in 2 ways:

  • Manually - for funds collected through:
    • Orders: Paid orders generated through Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, Wix Restaurant Orders (New), or Wix Donations
    • Invoices: Paid invoice requests issued through Wix Invoices
    • Pay Links: Paid pay link requests issued through Pay Links
  • Automatically using Automations:
    • To automatically send Receipts to paid ecommerce orders on a site, visit Settings> Checkout> Receipt Automation.

To customize receipts:
Head to Settings> Receipts in your site dashboard to access the customisation options, including design, and details to be included.

The team also released SDKs for receipts (which can be found here) - which are useful for those with custom builds and creations.

unfortunately i don’t see the button for the overview of all receipts. is it because i have set my backend to german?

it took me twice as long with the accounting from the march month and my tax consultant got the crisis. unfortunately, my tax consultant had significantly more work and higher costs for me - this is still an unacceptable situation for me.

by the way:

receipts are not the same as invoices. we need invoices that are automatically generated for every order, as we did before the changeover!
The problem with the invoices/documents is that they have different numbers than the invoice number, which were previously consecutive. In addition, the VAT ID of the recipient is missing on the invoices, which is also problematic for foreign invoices.

it would be nice if invoices could be generated automatically again in addition to the receipts. then we would have no more problems!

okay, i found the new section after i changed my language to english in my wix account…

for manually created invoices i can access the manual invoices and the automatically created receipts via the area.

orders via the wixstore only receipts are created automatically but no invoices!

my biggest wishes would be:

automatic invoices are created again like until the end of march 2025 when someone orders something in the wix store
or
all information is displayed as on the invoices before the changeover to receipts. i.e. all information such as company name, tax id of the customer etc.
