Hoping wix addresses the logic behind this user experience which doesn’t make sense and adds extra time in an unnecessary way when trying to respond to leads.
When you respond to a lead you are taken to your inbox (which is great). When you’re done responding to a lead in your inbox you are able to see all the other leads on the left. This is great as well but it is not meaningful if I am having to click on a link (view details) to see more info. This takes me back to the Leads and then I have to go back to the inbox to respond. How about showing the details of the lead in the inbox so we don’t have to go back and forth?
Also if you accidentally click on the “view details” second time (after you go to the Leads for details and go back to the inbox) the Lead gets marked as responded even if you have not sent a message. This can lead to missing leads. The inbox and the leads section should suggest the message as responded when you actually send a message to the person and not when you just opened the lead/inbox message.
For wix partners who receive a lot of leads the above suggested functionalities are very important. They will save a ton of time and possible errors.
Hope this post gets noted by the Marketplace creators.
Thanks.
I like your thought process here. I’ll make sure the team sees this, too.
Thank you! In addition to the above, a recent update wix has done on the leads section is also a strange user experience. When I click on leads it takes me to the overview page then I have to click on leads again so I can view the leads page. If wix is trying to force partners to check their overview (which is a bit weird to think about) then maybe they should place the leads button there and remove the leads tab. So at least there is a purpose going to the overview page first. But then this would be a regressive update. Leads tab should go to leads, just like all the other tabs.
One more feedback on the partner dashboard. The “My SItes” dropdown menu that got added a few months ago is yet another regressive update. Every time I need to find a site I have to click on the drop down tab and select “See all sites”. In the past the My Sites button would directly take us to the all sites view. This was much better. The recent websites or any other filter logic should be added to the all sites page as a filter or a tab. I believe the recent websites already show on top of the all sites page anyways. So this doesn’t really make sense. A direct link to “All sites” as we used to have is more logical and user friendly.
Hope these helps.
Thank you!
I would like to add on to this. Canceling a project because you didn’t end up hearing back or they didn’t accept the quote is very difficult. There are so many leads coming in that older leads get buried and by the time they are inactive, you have another 30+ leads above them. I have honestly given up on canceling projects because I have to go one by one and cancel.
It would be great if we could set a time for leads to auto cancel like lets say 1 month if its not marked as in progress. It would also be very helpful if we could select more than one lead in the leads list and cancel them from there so we could essentially bulk update them.
Great suggestions. Hopefully they improve these. Thanks.
Partners Team: I recently setup a new employee as a Website Manager role who can respond to Marketplace leads, send quotes and contracts and build sites, but not have access to my entire Wix Admin Dashboard, nor all of the sites I have in my portfolio. It has taken me weeks to refine the settings in thier dashboard. Understanding Role behavior is vague at best and is only visible after changing permissions and seeing how the dashboard reacts. Ultimately, it would be very helpful to setup a one click role that gives these features, something that has taken me hours upon hours of trial and error to refine. Lastly, I’m now told that new lead announcements will only come to my primary email account on file, instead of having the option to send to the Role I’ve created for this sole purpose. Your consideration, as always is appreciated.
