The team has been working hard to bring you some new features. Without further ado, here is your first glimpse of the new Marketplace Lead details page!
Keep in mind that this is a gradual rollout for EN accounts. Details related to the addition of other languages will be provided as they’re made available.
Hey! Thanks for the update! But how is this working? I always open my leads per link, as normal. Then I read the request and copy the important details to add them to my e-mail I write, responding to the client. How does the new system work exactly to recognize our actions?
One thing: it would be wonderful, if we could have an search option, regarding to find the requests to submit, reopen oder close them!
Hi @contact85821 The new version works the same way that you’re used to. You will review the request, then include relevant details when you email the client. The Timeline feature only keeps track of the actions that occur in the Wix Marketplace - lead received, cancelled, submitted, etc. In the Marketplace “contacted” simply means that you said “yes” to the lead to get access to the client’s contact info. Technically, you didn’t contact them at this point, but we use it as a proxy.
@stevenjose I appreciate you and the team constantly rolling out improvements!
Quick Question… how do I get my leads labeled as something other than “contacted”? I have several that are “in progress” that I’ve never heard back from.
@stevenjose It is nice to have the “Project Timeline” , thank you all . But in my thoughts I believe it is must to have the location of the client, the location of the Wix Partner that the client is looking for, the time that client expects the Wix Partners to contact him, and the price range the client is looking to get his work done. Because I have noticed that all those were missing in some of the leads I received in recent past.
@stevenjose Thanks for the update! It would be great if the email ID of the client is clickable. Earlier when I used to click on the client’s email ID it used to take me straight to my mailbox with the subject already in place. Would love to see that feature again.
Hi @allisonkubala the client can mark the project as in-progress in their Marketplace dashboard. If the lead is totally dead, you can always cancel it and give the reason as “client not responding.”
Hi @roshainbusiness If the client provides it, we always include the client location, preferred partner location, and best time to contact. You are likely seeing some leads without a location due to a test we are running, but this won’t continue forever.
Currently, we do not ask the client to provide a price range when they submit the request. Hearing that you would like to see this is great feedback.
On a slightly different note, it would be great if the prospect had a field to describe the type of business that they are in or plan to be in. For example, I won’t work on gaming sites (not something I have expertise in) and have responded to a number of leads only to find out that they were gamers.
One suggestion, it takes 7 clicks to cancel a project if clients don’t respond. This is very time consuming. Would be great if there would be a way to delete a project directly from the projects page.
I already posted on the facebook group, but I thought I’d post here too directly on the post.
One of the biggest issues I have with this, is that to copy the email address is you either have to forcefully click on it, and it opens up Gmail (or the default email), or you have to type it.
The fact that I have to click on a link to send out an email is not efficient at all and very time consuming. For starters, constantly opening and closing a new tab is not efficient on the computer and takes time to load up, rather than just composing an email from my mailbox.
As per the image you can no longer right click and copy email address nor highlight it since it’s class is now a button and hence we cannot get the email.
Hi @mcustode There is a field for the prospect to add their business/website type. It is not required, so some skip over it. We don’t have it as a required field because we found it decreases the submission rate of new leads.
