I’m not sure if this is an issue with just dynamic page items or if something was changed or what but I’ve encountered some issues that have been just unbearably disappointing and infuriating at the same time. Disappointing because I really want to like Editor X and infuriating because I’ve wasted so much time fighting the editor and it’s hiccups just to do simple things.

So the first issue that has me confounded is some kind of phantom grid issue?
While working on the layout of a dynamic item page I encountered a grid that wasn’t there, but it was. This has happened twice. The first time was while I was working on the layout and moving down the breakpoints to ensure the layout was responsive. Once I got to the mobile breakpoint, it was a mess. I noticed there was a grid in the section but according to the info panel, it was a 1 x 1 layout. No grid. Yet, showed that there were rows and columns present that you cound not delete. So no grid… but a grid. This happened, twice. The second time I suspect it had something to do with stacking/unstacking elements. But the same issue, but this time, on the desktop breakpoint. Grid but uh… no grid.

As you can see in the image, 1x1 yet, grid lines…

“No… you will not delet dis…”

Then, stacking. I wanted to stack elements. So I selected the elements I wanted to stack. The panel showed the stack option. I clicked it to stack… 2 items stack. That’s all. I figure, ok I can cut and paste into the stack I guess. So I cut and paste into the stack a gallery I wanted to be part of the stack. The gallery pastes and is visible, yet it is no longer in the layers panel.

Iz gone.

So, I figure, ok I can use multiple stacks then.

I stacked my stacks so I could be stacked while I’m stacked bro…

Now, the pro gallery hieght won’t resize and now has a minimun hieght. Now you might say, a min hieght? On a pro gallery? That can’t be.

It can be. And you will not change the min hieght. You will do nothing of the sort…

Min hieght is greyed out. You have no powers here.

This is not my first time using Editor X but it is the first time using the content manager to make dymanic pages. So, I’m lead to believe that these issues are isolated to the dynamic item page but honestly I have no clue.

Right now, I just don’t even understand what is happening.

So, I had submitted a support ticket and they explain the grid thing to me.Based on what they said, I have to assume this is a bug.

They said that another container in the section that had a grid was somehow causing the section it was in to have a grid. I can’t imagine that is a feature. The fix was to go into inspector panel and open the layout drop down and select the 1x1 even thought it was set to 1x1. Which cleared the grid. You have to go into the inspector though. You can’t try to reset it to 1x1 in the tab that appears on the canvas when you have the element selected. It won’t respond.

The issue with the gallery I just figured out and the only way to remove the min-width was to delete the pro gallery and re add it. What was causing the mid-width to be applied was resizing the pro gallery by clicking and dragging while holding shift, which is kind of a habit i have. I am going to assume that is not an intended behavior? Considering when you hover over the min-width in the inspector it says that a min-width cannot be applied.
