Partner Program Updates: Everything you need to know!

I asked WIX support to delete them from their end because I can not do it on my end so I can resubmit them to the now working system, but no matter what I do and what i ask, WIX support simply ignore it and tell me to “wait until the system will fix it by itself”.

It is so frustrating and there is no one I can ask and get a proper reply “Sure, we will delete them right away so you can resubmit them”…

Anyone here in the board (from the WIX team) who has the power to do that can help me with that as WIX support is literally futile…

Everything will be resolved soon, our support team is working really hard to assist you all. If you still have problems, you will need to contact our support team directly you can open a ticket or request a callback through your partner dashboard

Thank you Anna!

Elephant in the room. Just want to comment the partner program to see if this makes sense to anyone else. We’ve received various ads and articles about ‘scaling your agency,’ but when we read on, the methods describe becoming a part of the marketplace (or the partner program). I want to address the elephant in the room. It says there is a requirement to have 2,000 points to join the marketplace and gain more clients. I understand that we can enroll at any point into the partner program, but joining the marketplace takes a prerequisite of the 2,000 points. How in the world does this make sense? If we’re trying to grow and scale, but we have to grow and scale before we can have access to the very things that would enable us to gain more leads? If our points didn’t expire at the end of this year, this would make more sense, but since they do (from what I understand)–and we’re in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, we could use a little help here. That’s all. Thanks for listening. #featurerequest

I did try through Support, Anna but as you can see in the post above and the screenshot attached here, Support do not seem to even understand the problem…
I asked if they can remove the error sites so I can resubmit them or fix those errors, and they simply have no idea what I am talking about. Any help from your end will be appreciated so much!

I think the partner program is super valid. But here are some considerations.

For example, on my partner panel there is only 1 website that is a personal project of mine.

My clients’ premium sites do not appear.

I am a UI Designer, and I have always tried my best to indicate the use of wix to my clients.

I wonder why so much bureaucracy to enter the partner program?

Here in Brazil it is already very difficult to convince the customer to create a website, let alone a wix website.

At least 3 customers asked me the following questions, but isn’t wix free? Wix is slow, wix is bad for SEO, I don’t want my website to look like WIX.

One of these customers simply decided to create the site on wix on his own, he did not know the platform, but found it unnecessary to hire me.

With a $ 5 dollar server, I host up to 5 sites with low hassle-free visits to the famous CMS in the market. I charge about R $ 50 a month to keep the site on my server.

In addition to not having the questions about wix, and all the speed problems it faces on mobile, I have a bigger financial gain, on the other hand I have more work to ensure that everything works perfectly.

My big question is, is it really worth working so hard to get into the partnership program?

I don’t see any incentive on the part of the wix, to encourage the community of Designers to migrate to the wix.

I’m really passionate about wix, I think it’s amazing the speed it gives me to create sites full of functions at a low cost.

I am working on a project from a client that has received several awards and is super recognized in the market. The luck is that he had already created on wix, and I convinced him to keep the site there.

I have another client who is a reference in his field, where I am developing his new website on wix, I convinced him of that.

But the loading speed on Mobile and ranking problems are making me rethink the decision!

Today the website that I created in 2017 for this client in the famous cms of the market is responsible for 80% of his new clients, coming through the organic google search where he is in the first place.

A question arises, and if I migrate his website to wix, even with a complex SEO project that I am developing for him in conjunction with the website, does he lose this ranking because of the speed?

Please understand that these are constructive criticisms, and some points that I am considering.

Finally, I would like to know why only 1 site is a partner. other 4 sites I did and presented the wix platform to the client.

Oi Mizael! E claro, estamos sempre melhorando a plataforma. Se tiver mais duvidas, temos uma categoria aqui no Fórum de Discussão de Parceiros em Português

Hey John! The Marketplace has its own rules and everyone interested in participe should agree with that. If you want to be part of the program you should have the points required

I’m missing points. When will the submit capability be online? Nevermind, found it in tiny link, added my points and reached the next level LIVE instantly. Note that the site must be on published status to get the points. A site can be Premium and still be unpublished.

Hello Everyone and thank you for the updates!

I’m seeing an inconsistency in the benefits of the levels. I’m currently at the Explorer level and on the dashboard it shows “Next Level Benefits” and includes custom branding, but when you view the benefit grid that shows custom branding isn’t available until the Icon level, which would be three levels away not my next one.

Hey Neff! Did you open a ticket to ask support?

Few Questions about points:

  1. If I built a site and was removed as a contributor, is there a way to claim those points?

  2. If I claim points on a site that I am a contributor to and then I get removed as a contributor, do I lose my points?

  3. Do points expire?

  4. Can we lose points?

Hey Patrick! I recommend you read this article. There you can see everything about the Partner Program

Is there a way to connect the Partner Dashboard to my WIX business site?

Hey Maya! All your sites even the business one will be in your Partner Dashboard

I hit the 2000 point level three days ago and my dashboard still shows me at 1700 points and Partner level. All of my sites have been submitted and show “points received”. How do I become Icon level so I can join the Wix Marketplace? I have also submitted a ticket (Your ticket number: 390434529) a few days back, but no response. Thank you!

Anyone? Please point me in the right direction so I can resolve and join the Marketplace, Thank you!

Hi! Prior to Partner Dashboard, I didn’t purchase client sites via my Wix account. I would have them create their own login information and then make the purchase and add me as a Contributor/Admin, however, I am the reason they selected Wix when I made my initial pitch to them. Is there a way to verify with these clients that I am why they selected Wix and somehow get credit/points for these sites? It would be at least 5 and I’d like to get those points onto my Partner account if possible.

Now that I know how this works, I have been purchasing through my account to avoid this issue going forward, but would love a way to get credit for the work/clients I’ve completed over the past few years.

Thanks in advance for any info!
