Price increase despite 0 additonal features for original editor customers

Why is my yearly billing increating over 100%? From £140 to £360 a year?

Wix editor and Wix Studio

I want to understand why the original Wix editor customers are being made to pay for no additional features, as any additional benefits are found in the new Wix Studio platform. I am expected to rebuild my website at my own expense and time to make use of these new benefits by completely rebuilding my site on the new platform rather than offering to migrate the site I have already.

Why isnt it a service that you offer to migrate or rebuild sites free of charge for existing customers? How am I expected to take a week or two off work to completely re-build my website? Who pays for that down time and potential loss of sales? Who pays me while I am not working? And then to have the cheek to raise everyone’s pricing rather than just the new Studio Editor customers!

I have been a loyal customer of Wix for years. You just made my premium plan jump from £140 a year to £360 a year!!! For “additional features”. However all the additional features you have invested in are on the Wix Studio platform. I feel that it is completely unfair to loyal customers to not offer the service of migrating their existing site to the new Wix Studio editor. Why am I expected to pay more than double my current plan rate for absolutely no benefit? The service here is simply shocking and I find it appalling the way you are treating existing customers. Why not just scrap the old editior and move all sites to the new Studio editor?

Nobody is being forced to move to Studio - the Wix editor is sticking around  But correct, if you’re looking to use the features that Studio has to offer, you’ll need to rebuild.

In regards to the increase in Premium plans, you should have received notification about this well in advance, as these changes began before Aug 2023. For example, one of our forum topics about this - New Premium plans for the Wix Editor - EU & Other - there’s also been communication outside of the community, via email etc.

In most cases I’ve chatted to people about, they originally bought their plan at 50% discount, and are now renewing at full cost, along with the additional price increase - hence the comparatively large difference in cost.

Studio and Wix Editor are designed for different needs. Studio is built with agencies, freelancers, and enterprise users in mind, while the Wix editor is built with self-creators in mind

While a lot of the discussions and announcements in the community focus around Studio (as the community primarily focuses around agencies and freelancers), there are still updates and releases for the Wix editor.
